Rear entry to this newly renovated home and landscape. This lattice detail/style gate and fencing was designed and suggested as a more open alternative to a fencing approach.

A close up of the new stone retaining wall, which was part of the new design approach to replace a former deck.

Another perspective of this two level stone retaining wall that replaced the former deck. Behind the mass of "Knockout" roses is a small wooded deck off the new upper bluestone terrace. The deck looks over a water feature and Koi pond.

At grade level off the walk-out-basement is a eclectic style water feature and Koi pond. The massive bluestone cubes provide elevation for the sound of falling water from the scupper and into the pool, but also provide a sculptural and artistic feel to the space.

Along with removing the former composite deck and constructing a new masonry terrace, the clients added a small addition and pump out off the kitchen.

Another view of the newly designed and constructed water feature, which is also a Koi pond. I love the scale and simplicity of the bluestone cubes.

Random sized bluestones with grass joints was a perfect solution for this new pathway from the walk-out-basement.

A different perspective of the new path and water feature.

A shot of the multiple uses we applied to this project with bluestone. From the various sized cubes to the stepping stones and coping.

Don't you love the contrast between the clean lines of the bluestone and the softness and color of the lawn and water.

The scupper was custom made and the bluestone cube was cut to conform to receive the shape of the scupper. A simple but elegant water feature, water garden and Koi pond. The new porch in the background serves as a passive space to relax and receive cover from the sun.

A distant view of the home from the gazebo garden area.

A view from the side of the newly build stone retaining walls, which replaced an original deck.
Spec home goes custom
One view of the new multi-level masonry terrace, where bluestone was used for the terrace, steps and pathways.

As you approach or leave this home, there is a grass path that runs through the new garden in the center island of the drive, which not only provides access, but a window and view of the newly renovated home and portico.

From another angle a view through the new garden and home.

Perennials provide such a dramatic impact to any garden.
