Victorian (England)- The English Victorian Era was known for cluttered spaces, heavy drapery, and dark rooms. Furniture evolved during this time to include button tufting, which helped maintain the shape of padding on upholstered furniture and prevented stuffing (e.g. feathers) from bunching. The bedroom in the image draws on that design element with a button tufted headboard. Even the bedding looks cluttered with pillows and layers of comforters and a heavy drapery look around the bedskirt.
